You’ll find the Chimera on both the North and South ends of the island. They’re all pretty much level 70 or 71, and should present little challenge for a player character of approximately the same level.
These two-headed beasts fly just a few feet above the ground and utilize a “Venom Spit" attack when you engage them. The venom will cause damage over time, but doesn’t do enough damage to be a major concern. Just stock up on bandages or food before you head out and be sure to top off your hit points whenever they become low.
The beasts tend to be pretty tightly-packed as they roam around, so be aware of your surroundings before you engage them. It’s not at all uncommon to pick a fight with one only to have two of his brothers join in. One may be a cake walk for you, but you’ll find that the odds tip in the Chimera’s favor when they have you outnumbered, depending on your class.
The drop rate of the horns isn’t terrible, and you’ll probably end up killing 6-10 Chimera before you get the three horns you need for the Elder. Once you have them head back to the large building in Kamagua and hand them in.
Your reward for helping out the Kalu’ak war effort is four gold and 20,000 experience points. You’ll also gain 500 Kalu’ak reputation, which can be a real boon if you’re looking to pick up some of their exclusive equipment or the Pengu companion pet later on.
Once you turn in “Arming Kamagua," Elder Atuik has another task for you. This time you’ll be venturing farther from the village to help the Kalu’ak get revenge on some slavers who murdered some of their people. It’s a dirty job, but somebody’s got to do it.
