Heading to Honored...
So, now you are friendly with the Scryer's so you can head to Netherstorm and go to the Managorge B'naar, which is really easy to get to. You simply follow the western road out of Area 52 and you will run into this camp as you go. Here is where you will grind mobs for Sunfury Signets, which is the main item that you will need to be able to up your reputation with the Scryers from friendly to honored quickly.
NOTE: The Sunfury Signets do have a low drop rate, only about 30% or so. But, this is not much different than the drop rate for the Firewing Signets. Here is the perk to grinding here though, you will also get Arcane Tomes and Arcane Runes which you can turn in for great stuff from the Scryer's Quartermaster. So, you want to make sure that you grind here every day so that you can up your gear as you up your reputation.
Now, before you head out here, you will want to gather up the different quest chains that you can do while you are here. These are all pretty easy, and you should be able to do these really fast. None of these are repeatable though, so once you do them to get from friendly to honored, you cannot do them again. Any players who have already aligned themselves with the Aldor and are trying to switch over the Scryers can get “Vorenthal's Visions" from the Arcanist Adryia. This quest will give you reputation points with the Scryers and then you can get the repeatable quest from her that is “More Basilisk Eyes".
For those who align your toon with the Scryers, you will start to gain reputation so that you can get inscriptions on your shoulders that provide great spells that act like enchantments. These can be used by any player with the right Scryer rep, but they are bind on pickup, or BoP, so you need to make sure that you have the reputation and that you want that inscription before you buy it. Scryer inscriptions add more power to spells for casters and others who use ranged spells and rely on magic instead of melee attacks, so for classes like Warlocks, Mages, Priests, and so on, the Scryers is the way to go. No matter which side you choose, it is always best to check out all the options and choose the side that is the best for your toon and that will provide you with the most for your hard work.
NOTE: If you want more critical strike ratings, and want to do more melee damage, then Aldor is the way that you want to go. Aldor is the way to go for hunters, tanks, and any player who wants more critical strike ratings for their toon.
In the next part of this mini guide, we'll go through the different inscriptions that you can get if you are aligned with the Scryers and what perks they offer for different professions.
