Specialize away baby...
Now that you have upped your skill to level 375, you know just about all that there is to know about tailoring, it is time to learn about the specializations that a tailor can choose once they hit level 350. There are three different types: shadowcloth, spellcloth and primal mooncloth. Each different one has special abilities and makes special items. Now, all tailors can actually make, or transmute, the three different types of cloth, which will help you out – but by specializing in one, you will be able to make two pieces of that particular cloth for the cost of one. So, let's go through each one and I'll tell you about them and what they can do for you.
Primal Mooncloth Tailors – These items are bind on pickup only, but are epic quality chest, shoulders, and belt items. The Primal Mooncloth gives a healing bonus to these items, so you want to make sure that healers take a good look at this specialization. If all three of these items are worn, you will get a bonus that will give you a 5% mana regeneration that continues while you are casting. The major good thing about Primal Mooncloth Tailors is that they can make the 20-slot bags that aren't specialized to anything and can be sold on the auction house for a good deal of cash.
Shadoweave Tailors – These items are also bind on pickup only, but are epic quality chest, feet, and shoulder items. Usually these are called a Frozen Shadoweave set and they give a great damage bonus for Frost and Shadow damage. If the set of three is worn, then you get a bonus that gives your Frost or Shadow damage spells the ability to heal you for 2% of the damage that they deal to your enemy. This spec also can create 28 slot Soul Bags for Warlocks which make a TON of money per bag on the auction house.
Spellfire Tailors – These items are also bind on pickup, but are epic quality chest, belt, and glove items. These offer a huge damage bonus on Fire and Arcane damage only, but if you wear all three you will get a bonus that will increase your spell damage by 7% of your total intellect. These tailors also can create 28 slot Enchanting Bags which also sell extremely well on the auction house.
And there you have it... your complete mini guide to leveling your tailoring profession in the World of Warcraft. Of course, there are many recipes that you can make and sell great on the auction house as you are leveling and I encourage you to try every angle you want to and have fun with it.
