All about the chill of the ice and the armor of the frost? Then you will want to wrap your icy hands around the frost portion of the talent tree for your mage. For all about mages see: The Wonderful World of Mages by mdweems.
Frost Warding – This can take up to two talent points and it doesn’t require any additional talents anywhere. It will increase your armor and resistances by frost armor and ice armor. It will also give frost ward a chance to reflect frost spells and effects while active. Talent point one is for 15%/10% and talent point two for 30%/20%.
Improved Frostbolt – This has five talent points available and no requirements. It will reduce the casting time of Frostbolt. Talent point one for 0.1 second, talent point two for 0.2 seconds, talent point three for 0.3 seconds, talent point four for 0.4 seconds, and talent point five for 0.5 seconds.
Elemental Precision – This has three talent points you can put in and there is no requirements. It will reduce the mana cost and the chance that the foe will resist your frost or fire spell. Talent point one is for 1%, talent point two is for 2%, and talent point three is for 3%.
Ice Shards – This has five ranks and only needs 5 other talent points in other spots on the tree. It will increase the critical strike damage bonus of your frost spells. Talent point one is by 20%, talent point two is by 40%, talent point three is by 60%, talent point four is for 80%, and talent point five is for 100%.
Frostbite – This has three slots for talent points and you must have five in other sections of the tree. This will give your chill effect a chance to freeze the opponent for five seconds. Talent point one is for 5%, talent point two is for 10%, and talent point three is for 15%.
Improved Frost Nova – This has two talent point slots and you will have to have five other points in different talents. It will reduce the cooldown of your frost nova spell. Talent point one is for 2 seconds and talent point two is for 4 seconds.
Permafrost – You can have three points in this talent and you will have to have five points in other parts of the tree. It will increase the duration of the chill effects and will reduce the target’s speed. Talent point one is 1 sec/4%, talent point two is 2 sec/7%, and talent point three is 3 sec/10%.
Piercing Ice – This has spaces for three talent points and you’ll have to have 10 talent points elsewhere in the tree. It will increase the damage done by your frost spells. Talent point one is for 2%, talent point two is for 4%, and talent point three is for 6%.
Icy Veins – This is only one talent point and you’ll have to have 10 points elsewhere on the talent tree. It is an instant spell, has a three minute cooldown, and it cost 3% of base mana to cast. It will reduce casting time by spells 20%, grant the spells a 100% pushback resistance, and hastens your spellcasting. It will last 20 seconds.
Improved Blizzard – This is a talent you can put three points in and it requires 10 talent points elsewhere. It will add chill effects to your blizzard. This effect lowers the target’s movement speed a percentage of normal and it lasts one and a half seconds. Talent point one is for 30%, talent point two is for 50%, and talent point three is for 65%.
